Married a Mennonite Mocha Punch
Yields 5 quarts (20-25 servings)
1.5 qt water
1/2 c instant chocolate drink mix
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c instant coffee granules
1/2 gal vanilla ice cream
1/2 gal chocolate ice cream
1 c whipped cream
The day before:
In a large pan, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add: drink mix, sugar and coffee - stir till dissolved. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
30 minutes before serving:
Pour mixture into punch bowl. Add ice cream by scoopfuls - stir till partly melted. Garnish with dollops of whip cream and chocolate curls, if desired.
This recipe is a hit wherever I serve it. Come prepared with copies of the recipe, because you will get asked. That's how I got my hands on it!
